Frequently Asked Dental Questions – Greensboro, GA
If You’ve Got Dental Questions, We Have the Answers!
Do you have questions about dental insurance, any treatments that we offer, or how to handle a dental emergency? Our team at Lake Oconee Dentistry is happy to help! Below, we’ve compiled some of the most common questions that we receive from our patients for your convenience. If you don’t find the answers you’re looking for, feel free to call our dental office!
Are you currently accepting new patients?
Yes! We are currently accepting new patients and would love to welcome you to our dental office. To schedule an appointment, please call our dental office at (706) 453-1333. Or, if you prefer, click the “Request an Appointment” button at the top of this page and someone from our dental office will contact you.
What days do you see patients?
We see patients Monday through Friday. We offer appointments as early as 7:30 a.m. That means you can be seen quickly, at a time that works for your schedule, without the added stress of missing work or school.
Do you accept dental insurance?
We work with all major insurance companies. Upon your first visit, we can conduct a complimentary benefits check. If you'd like to know more about your specific coverage prior to coming in, please feel free to call the dental office at (706) 453-1333. We are happy to file all of your insurance claims for you, as well as explain your dental benefits to you. We do this at no additional fee. Unfortunately, we are not a Medicaid provider, but would be happy to see you on a cash basis.
Do you treat children?
Yes! We enjoy seeing whole families, including patients as young as two years old. Our doctors and team members will do everything they can to help your child feel comfortable and at ease, and our waiting area even has a small television that they can enjoy before their appointment begins.
The thought of dental care makes me anxious. Can you help?
Of course. Dental-related fear and anxiety is a common problem, and one that patients shouldn’t have to feel ashamed of. Lake Oconee Dentistry is the only dental office in the area that offers oral conscious sedation, which can reduce these negative feelings and help you feel fully relaxed throughout your procedures.
What do I do if I have a dental emergency?
Please contact our dental office right away. Our doctors will do everything in their power to work you into the schedule if your call is placed during our regular business hours. We always have a live person answering the phone – even on weekends and holidays. If you have an emergency during that time, simply call the dental office, and we’ll do our best to get the situation handled.
Will I need to visit a separate specialist when choosing dental implants to replace missing teeth?
No! Dental implants are the ideal solution for tooth loss because of their valuable health and aesthetic benefits, and our Greensboro team is proud to offer every step of the procedure right here in-office for your convenience and comfort. Dr. Patti holds Mastership status with the International Dental Implant Association, which requires over 250 hours of coursework and documentation of over 50 patient cases. You can rest assured that you’re in good hands when you pursue reconstructive work at Lake Oconee Dentistry.
Is it safe to see a dentist for BOTOX® treatment?
Here in Georgia, dentists must undergo additional training in order to be able to administer BOTOX treatment to their patients. Dr. Patti Bradley, Dr. Andrea Feldman and Dr. Shelly Pound are certified in this service through the Georgia Board of General Dentistry, which means patients can trust in them to understand their unique facial anatomy and create the youthful results they deserve for their overall appearance in a safe environment.
Are traditional braces the only option for straightening my smile?
Crooked/misaligned teeth can lead to countless problems over the years for patients, including oral health concerns, reduced function, and a dampened sense of self-confidence. However, many adults just can’t commit to the idea of wearing a mouthful of metal braces for years on end. Our team understands this hesitation, which is why we offer faster, more cosmetically-friendly alternatives. By selecting Invisalign or Smart Moves clear aligners, or Fast Braces as their orthodontic service of choice, patients can achieve wonderful results for their smile in a much speedier timeframe – and without the dark-colored brackets and wires too!
